Llanbrynmair Wind Farm Proposal

RES is in the early stages of exploring the redesign potential for a wind farm situated within one of the Welsh Government's designated areas for wind farm development.

RES has started the process of developing a redesigned wind farm proposal approximately 2km north-east of Llanbrynmair in Powys, which will enable us to take advantage of modern turbine technology, and optimise the clean, low-cost electricity the wind farm will be capable of generating.

The new proposal is for up to 15 turbines at the same location as the previous 30-turbine scheme which was approved by the then Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in 2021.

We currently expect to submit a new planning application in Winter 2025.
